Key Considerations

Quicklime is obtained by calcining dolomitic limestone (MgCO3). After the industrialization process, it is a lime that has a higher concentration of magnesium oxides when compared to calcitic quicklime. In the sugar and alcohol industry it is used to clarify sugar cane juice. Dolomitic lime presents variable grain sizes, which allows it to meet specific demands.
