CARMEUSE, a global leader in the supply of lime, and BAUMINAS Águas, a national reference in coagulants for water and wastewater treatment, announce the creation of the joint venture POTABILIS, for joint investments in production units of NEUTRAMOL® - Calcium Hydroxide in Suspension, focused on serving sanitation applications.
NEUTRAMOL® is an aqueous suspension of Calcium Hydroxide. It is considered a high performance alkalizing chemical for water and effluent treatment, which provides operational benefits in the process, improving water quality and ensuring turbidity within the parameters of the legislation. The product does not require prior preparation for use and is transported in a tank truck directly to the customer's reservoir.
The production unit installed in Suzano - SP will have its capacity expanded, and the same will occur with the plant in Rio de Janeiro - RJ, which together will produce 108,000 tons of NEUTRAMOL® per year, operating at these levels as early as 2023.
The joint venture is born with 5 other units under construction, distributed in the south, southeast and central-west regions of Brazil. All will be operating by 2025.
POTABILIS will dedicate itself to setting a high standard in the industry. It will work to be the benchmark organization in an increasingly demanding market, being valued for the care and respect it will show for its team, its customers and the environment in which we live and on which we all depend.
The merger of the companies for the creation of POTABILIS involves exclusively the production and commercialization of the NEUTRAMOL® line, having no effect on the other operations of CARMEUSE and BAUMINAS.
